Lawyers representing Planned Parenthood and the Missouri AG argued Monday over HIPPA protections during a St. Louis Circuit Court hearing
The lawsuit alleges cisgender MU Health patients with other diagnoses can receive the same treatments the plaintiffs are currently denied
The lawsuit, Noe v. Parson, was filed on behalf of the families of three trans people, medical providers, PFLAG & GLMA
The student “lives as a female and was living as a female when she was denied the use of the girls’ restroom at her school"
Parson told capital reporters that he signed the measures without a ceremony and in private because “the issue is divisive to some”
The ACLU of Missouri told the judge the regulations "will cause immediate, severe and potentially irreparable harm"
The petition names Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, who filed the emergency rule on April 13 to stop trans healthcare in the state
Removal was to "ensure the integrity of a government website" pending the outcome of an investigation into efforts "hack our system"
Bailey's restrictions go further than most anti-trans policies that have been implemented in other conservative states
"Our rural libraries rely the most heavily on this funding to serve their communities, and they will be crippled by this drastic budget cut"
